Tour de Tarck - Monthly Mileage Contest
Halbritt — Tue, 04/28/2009 - 21:30
Here's a thread for the mileage and KOM (king of masochists) competition
The Rules:
- To participate you need to say so at the beginning of the month
- If you have a computer post up a photo with your initial mileage
- Make a weekly post with your mileage updates
- Make a final post with your overall mileage
- Talk shit on your fellow competitors
- Quitting your job, school, or both and going on a tour is grounds for disqualification
- Going on holiday and spending every day on the bike is dubious at best
Post your bicycle!

The current post your bicycle thread is broken right now, when it is fixed we'll probably merge these treads for consolidation.
the last (functioning) page from the original thread can be found here http://tarckbike.com/node/5212?page=319

Rain Gear
zelah — Tue, 09/07/2010 - 23:02
Get me into new rainpants! I've been using the same hiking pantshells for 4+ years and now my butt gets damp when I ride around. Recommend!

Fall Cycling Thread: GTFO with that too hot/too cold weather shit.
Timarchy — Sat, 09/04/2010 - 09:53
65 degrees this morning. 70 at 10am as I'm sitting outside the laundromat. High of 85 when I will be riding around later today.
Georgia summers and Georgia winters make me want to cower inside my apartment. Then the fall comes and I remember why, against my best interests, I love the south.
Get out and ride your bike. It doesn't get better than this.
Hosted my second "Alleycat"!
EivlEvo — Fri, 09/03/2010 - 14:00
Me and one of my teammates hosted one last spring (I started a thread asking for sweet ideas, but it's lost in tarck now)... and it was a great success (for ND) We had something like 8 riders and had like maybe 10 total waypoints with half of them manned.
Anyways, me and said teammate hosted another one this last week and it was an even more gooder success.
We had 27 all unmanned waypoints and had a little over 30 riders. One (who ghosts here) rolled hard for tandem crue.
Object was bike poker. We put out a clue worthy manifest:
