This.
Also a great review. You cut right to the point while being funny and making me interested in a boot that I don't need.

Hah.. I bought a pair of these the previous winter. They fell apart on me within 2 weeks (heels came off, and the one of the Boa things broke). When my lbs guy called customer service to warranty them, they offered a $15 credit to get them fixed on my own. Upon further pressure, then finally offered to fix them themselves. Took them about 6 weeks to get them back to me, by which time winter was about over. two weeks later the heels came off again.

Eventually, through a separate sales rep, we were able to get them to send a new pair, but it took almost a year. Pawned them off on Ebay as soon as I got 'em. Lake makes some other nice looking shoes, but with customer service like this, never again. Got a pair of Specialized shoes instead and have been a happy camper since.

+1 I love specialized shoes and clothing.
FWIW, one of the boa things snapped on mine too about a week after I wrote the review.
This winter I'm riding fat spiky platforms.
