No one gives a shit about what music you listen to, don't post here.

I ran sound for a show last night. The best part of running sound is getting to pick the between-set music.
Jimmy Smith - Back At The Chicken Shack
Idaho - The Lone Gunman
Lee Morgan - The Sidewinder
The Beg, Scream, & Shout box set.
The Meters - Funkify Your Life

coltrane africa brass sessions, a few odd Eric Dolphy LPs, i think they are live recordings. on one they play Epistrophy. hell yes. i can't wait to get my turntable and nice stereo setup again.
was listening to Dirty Projectors last night.
I was just in a sub shop here and they were playing the boss. thunder road, tenth avenue freeze out...you know. pretty cool to hear that.

^Sweet!
edit: just listened all the way through. Verry Nice. Very talented, but I always felt it was kind of gimmicky. Makes you want to hear the original versions of the sampled tracks. Still love it though.
I thought Dangermouse did best with the gray album in terms of 'original' music.

Tarkio- Omnibus.
c'mon, it's a band named tarkio, Decemberists' lead singer Colin Meloy's old band. Pretty good too.
when im riding, and not going fast (just tarcking around, trackstanding and all that fun stuff) ive been listening to cinematic orchestra alot, it gives kind of a "soundtrack to your life" feeling.
if im bookin it on flats, then itll be electro house (Bart b more, Deadmau5, jelo, DIM)
if im bookin it somewhere thats hilly, and my cadence varies a bit more, ill listen to brutal death metal (Degrade, Death, Asphyxiation, Flesh Consumed, Suffocation, Immolation....i could go on for days)
if im nightriding through suburbia then its usually indie/post rock (DMST, broken social scene, the pavement)
and on days when its really too hot to be riding, i listen to de SKA!(cause it keeps me goin slow)
currently im listening to Lividity's "live fornication" album. A must have for any true brutal death metal fan!
Been jamming on Atmosphere's new album: "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold"
