Yeah, even though I haven't heard of 9/10 of those bands. I saw Tom Petty when I was a kid, and it was one of the bests shows ever, so I can't miss that.

I'm just going on Friday, can't afford the 3-day pass. In any event almost all of the bands I really wanted to see are playing on Friday, so it worked out well.

when riding - lately it's been the new comback kid record.
fucking - past couple of nights it's been doom metal (black funeral and wolves in the throneroom). girls who like metal and rides bikes are the bestest.
this local band, Thou, that i'm doing album art for.

that CBK record is stellar. I have been really into all the stuff that got me into hardcore back when I first started listening to it. I usually prefer folky stuff and artsy indy pussie stuff, but lately I've been mobbing loads of CBK, Champion, Casey Jones, The Refused, Fugazi, The Bled, Propagandhi etc.

Our library system here in Seattle has a kickass collection of cds so I've been borrowing as many as I can and copying them. Two I'm pretty stoked on that I got recently are the Oh Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack and Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg and Wilco. I'm on this huge old-timey/bluegrass kick and I've become completely obsessed with the Avett Brothers so I'm listening to that recently. And a friend of mine just made me a copy of a cd by Three Legged Mule (
) who are this bluegrass/Irish-folk band from Homer Alaska.
I also just got the soundtrack to Cremaster 3 (fuck yeah!) and I found online free and legal mp3s of Finger Print's (French screamo) discography. So good.
I know Lead Belly, and the Oh! Brother, Where Art Thou soundtarck. Other than that, I have no idea what y'all are talking about. I bike silent, ninja-style. I still listen to 80s New Wave, hair-bands (especially the ballads: Every Rose Has its Thorn--yeah, it does), and older Tom Waits. The new Portishead album is unmissable. But shit, I still have Sir-Mix-A-Lot's "My Posse's On Broadway" on more than one mix-cd. The Numa Numa song. And lots and lots of Bach, esp.. the Brandenburg and the works for lute. The Goldberg Variations are...meh.
At the time of this posting, Massive Attack. Lately I've been listening to Tokyo Police Club (thanks Council of Doom Youtube videos for giving me some new music to listen to), Holy Fuck, Cut Copy, N.E.R.D., A Place to Bury Strangers.

Haha I've been listening to so much Tokyo Police Club thanks to that trailer too.
iTunes says I've been listening to a lot of:
Tokyo Police Club, Death Cab for Cutie (the album coming out next week is pretty decent), David Bazan/ Pedro the Lion, LCD Soundsystem, We Are Scientists, Talking Heads, and Stars. http://www.last.fm/user/cgay
Didn't we have a Brian Forums pandora station or something? It'd be great if someone got the ball rolling on a tarck bike station. I need new tunes to listen to at work.
