I know it. I've been looking for a set of StrongLights just like those, but have failed to find a set that's both in price range and not french thread.

How does the french thread apply here? Can these be fit on to a standard bottom bracket? or is it just the crank puller that needs to be french threaded, if so, i think the park is double sided and then there would be no problem.

French threads apply to the pedal spindles. English threads (more common and pretty much the standard) are something like 9/16"x20tpi while French threads are like 14x1.25mm. Since french threaded cranks have a slightly smaller spindle, they can be retapped to english, but I'd like to avoid that level of effort and need for specialty tools.

But I wouldn't post it half built on the interwebz.

I do love the atmosphere in the bathroom though.

I have a friend who has a carbon/aluminum lugs Alan that he used to ride brakeless/fixed. It is now this wicked beast, if that answers your question.

Frame:
some huffy mountain bike with all of the crappy looking decals removed

Handlebars and Stem:
whatever huffy put on there. i left the bars bare to give it a 'clean' look

Fork and Headset:
huffy's doing. the fok is a bit bent, so i need to spraypaint another fork black

Front wheel:
26" from a 1967 hercules girl's cruiser, original nylon tires on both wheels

Rear wheel:
26" from a 1967 hercules girl's cruiser with sturmey archer 'TCW III' 3 speed hub w/ coaster brake

Crankset and Bottom bracket:
single piece crankset from a murray mountain bike. original one was bent up. have a red sugino 42 tooth chainwheel on there.

Saddle and Seat Post:
bought a decent seatpost at the lbs, saddle was the one that was on there, i think. too bad it isn't black.

Pedals and Chain:
cheapo platforms with clips and straps, chain is a 1/8"
Cog/Gearing et cetera:
it's a Sturmey Archer TCW III

Notes:
i built this up one weekend 'cause i thought it would be a sweet ride. it's totally ninja.

Is there a shortage of non-wrecked decent bikes where that guy is from or what?
