We don't seem to have a general Want To Buy thread, so I figured I'd start one. This is for the small shit really. Posting a new wtb thread for bikes or wheels or something would probably be more effective.

I want to buy a pair of thumb shifters. Falcon/Sunrace friction thumbies are fine. Just something for this old Marin for urban destruction.

I've got a pair of Shimano friction thumbies that I probably won't ever use. They aren't fancy, but they're in great shape for their age.

I'll sell them to you for $300. You have PM.

I don't need it, but I would like a Shimano mountain RD that's a bit nicer than the one I have on wife bike.

you mean the tektro r-100 (small hand version of r-200)?

speaking as a guy who rides scr-5's right now, those tektro levers blow whale dick. but if there's a diff. tektro model... uh, that would be better.

anyway, i could use a silver 26.8 post with setback

i have r-200's and scr-5c's on my desk right now. they feel and look the same (other than the pattern on the hoods) but i never used the tektros cause i pulled them off immediately. so i honestly have no idea.

Tarckee, shame that you don't want a pair of r200's, because I have a set that I'd sell you for a six pack.

turbos and flites feel similar to me, rolls feel totally different.
for me: flite & turbos are about the same- turbos are a bit bulkier/more padded, the flite more trim, rolls feel like an uncomfortable turbo to me

WTB: the shallow drop syntace bullhorns

-dt shifter mounts for 86-87 cannondale frames

-dt shifters (want friction front, 9spd rear)

-tt brake levers

-short cage rd

-12-27 cassette

-still figuring out if i want to pick up another pair of sram s300 cranks, but depending, either 110 or 130 bcd 34t ring.

vision for cannondale is compact double (48/34) with 9spd with smaller range for smaller increments of shifting, and bullhorns with tt levers and cross interrupter levers. occasional rack/flat bar usage, but that will probably more frequently be the mtb i'm looking for.

I have these in silver on my bike and feel that I made a mistake in purchasing them in that color.

I was thinking maybe $30 for the saddle, and I can't imagine shipping being more than $4-5 dollars. It's used for sure, but still in great shape.

Joe, I've got a rear with a campy hub and Rigida rim that is pretty nice. I got it from EJ like two years ago and never used it. It doesn't have a freewheel on it though.
I also have a tubular that does have a freewheel with a rotten tubular stuck to it.

Hmmmm. the campy hub takes a plain-old thread-on freewheel, or does it take a cassette? basically i'm trying to step up to 8sp if i am going to keep nice-ifying the trek, since the 600 ultegra rd i have can support up to 8sp and i currently am running 6sp with a shitty old maillard hub.
