i just booked my flight and we are going to have a slumber party at curiousincident's house in east lansing, mi, on march 13. probably not a lot of bike riding, but definitely a lot of snuggles, ghost stories and blanket forts!

Hell yes! The more the merrier. My house is pretty stupidly small, but I bet we can fit everybody comfortably assuming most of you all have no qualms with crashing on the carpet. Besides, I'm sure we'll be happy enough at the end of the night that we'll all just be spooning each other anyhow.
There is some great riding in the area for those of you who come with bikes. I propose a hung over road ride over to the Michigan Brewing Co pub at the brewery, probably ~35mi round trip. It's a flat and leisurely ride, so even if you just come with your around town bike it's totally doable.
I do work at 3 the following Sunday, but if enough of you are gonna be around I'll probably be able to get it off without much of a problem. Of course if people wanna get in town Friday or whenever let me know, I'll be open the whole week beforehand.

i will probably get dinner with my old coworkers as i normally do when in east lansing on saturday evening.

+10000 on golden harvest, but on a sunday morning it might be tough to get everybody in. Luckily, fleetwood offers an excellent alternative if the wait is too long.

funny story, one hung over sunday morning i went to golden harvest and saw one of my professors leaving with a student, i got there at 9, so he was definitely there by 8...
also, the first time nate came to visit me we went to golden harvest, it was their first day opened after the fire.

We absolutely can make a fort in the living room. That however means that you guys are gonna have to try to bring some extra blankets. I have like 5 but this is gonna be one helluva fort.

The likelihood of snow being on the streets is pretty damn low, I wouldn't worry about it Meghan. I'd be more worried about having fenders, by then things are more likely to be all melty and sloppy.

Yeah, I've had a few tarck meetups and they've all been good times. People aren't necessarily the same person they are online, but what keeps us all here does come through IRL. Hanging out with tarckers comes pretty naturally.

you think you can pick me up at chicago if i go? I will have to pass chicago anyways if i want to go but finding a bus/transportation from west lafayette to there might be impossible, can find rides to chicago though. I have to find a way to get home after that first though
You can find bus/train rides from chicago to east lansing no problem if nothing else seems to be working for you.

AMtrak, Lafayette to Chicago to Grand Rapids, MI. $86.00 round trip. Maybe someone could pick you up at Amtrak in Grand Rapids.....or is there a closer station than Grand Rapids? Just a thought...........

OK, Amtrak (Train), Lafayette to Chicago to East Lansing, Mi, then on to Toledo, $68.00. Then Greyhound from Toledo to Columbus, from $18 if you purchase 21 days in advance to $30 on the day of travel. How's that? (Remember to factor cab fare from the train station to the bus station, too. That'll do ya well enough. :D
